North Carolina Region: Mothers in Jane Austen's Novels

May 19

2:00 pm

Dead, Distant, or Dysfunctional?

Lady BertramLibrarian and longtime JASNA member Sue Scott will lead a discussion of the role mothers play in Austen’s novels. We'll explore possible reasons why good mothers are so hard to find in these works. Then, we'll go through all the novels looking for a few good mothers, and vote on the best and the worst. Come prepared to have fun!

For more information, please email Regional Coordinator Sue Scott.
