Hotel Access Codes Progress, updated 7/1, 1:00pm

June 25, 2026

by Linda Slothouber

ALL HOTEL BOOKING CODES HAVE NOW BEEN DISTRIBUTED. An email was sent to all registrants on the evening of June 30, 2026, with the latest news and a request for ALL AGM attendees to complete a questionnaire so that we can take a headcount of people who need rooms on specific nights.

While we are collecting questionnaire responses and seeking a second block of rooms, we are keeping the remaining inventory at the JW Marriott on "hold."  There will still be rooms showing up as available intermittently as some people are fine-tune their plans and decide to share with other people.  (Any released reservations go back into the JASNA general availability pool.)

______________________________________________________________________

This page will track the sending of access codes for hotel reservations aligned to tours and special activities.  This process is being undertaken very carefully, while at the same time we are pursuing an addition of rooms and handling other issues.  We apologize for the delay, and appreciate your patience and understanding.

On Monday, June 29 at 7:00pm, codes were sent via email to individuals registered for the following SUNDAY afternoon and evening activities.

  • Barrio Viejo and Downtown Highlights Walking Tour
  • Tohono Chul Botanical Gardens, Galleries, and Bistro
  • Sabino Canyon
  • Los Milics Dining and Wine Evening
  • Post-AGM Dinner at El Charro’s Carriage House

Although we believe we have enough rooms to cover everyone enrolled in the activities listed above, we most likely do not have enough at present for everyone who wants to stay over on Sunday night. If your flight leaves very early on Monday morning, you might consider staying at an airport hotel that offers a shuttle.

On Sunday, June 28 at 10:00am, codes were sent via email to individuals registered for the following activities.

  • All Thursday workshops and tours with start times before 5:00pm

On Saturday, June 27 at 8:50pm, codes were sent via email to individuals registered for the following activities.

  • Kartchner Caverns and Tombstone (Monday)
  • Sonoita-Elgin Wine Tasting (Monday)
  • Tumacacori, Tubac, and the Anza Trail (Monday)

On Saturday, June 27 at 8:00pm, codes were sent via email to individuals registered for the following activities.

  • Tucson Origins 1 (Wednesday)
  • Bus to Downtown (Wednesday)
  • Evening Van Tour 1 (Wednesday)

On Thursday, June 25 at 4:30pm, codes were sent via email to individuals registered for the following activities.

  • Native American History and Saguaro National Park 1 (Wednesday)
  • Tumacacori National Historic Park and Tubac Village 1 (Wednesday)
  • Barrio Viejo and Downtown Highlights Walking Tour 1 (Wednesday)
  • Kitt Peak National Observatory Night Program 1 (Wednesday)

UPCOMING ACTIONS:

  • Codes for reserving the night of Sunday, November 1, are planned to be sent out on Monday midday, June 29.  STILL EXPECTED, BUT DELAYED

If you are not booked on a tour or in a workshop but want to stay in the hotel on Wednesday night, please know that we have a number of rooms in the JASNA block that is greater than the number of activity participants, but probably falls short of everyone who wants them. We are working to secure more rooms and will post an update about additional availability as soon as we can.

This page will continue to be updated as other codes are sent out.
